A lot of Jones runners established personal records during the city championship meet at Washington Park on Saturday, and junior Hastings BaCote was first among them.

BaCote finished the 3-mile varsity race in 18:54.7, about 75 seconds faster than the PR she set at Palatine on Sept. 25. She was eighth overall, earning all-city honors and leading Jones to fifth place in the 18-team field. 

Sophomore Lena Almer also earned all-city honors, placing 12th with a PR of 19:07.8. 

Also scoring for Jones were sophomore Selma Taylor, who finished 17th with a PR of 19:34.3; junior Eva Kay Papadopoulos, who was 32nd in 20:22.8; and senior Levynn Chambers, who was 35th with a PR of 20:41.3.

Sophomores Anna Korfmacher and Sophie Kantoff earned all-city honors in the 3-mile freshman/sophomore race where Jones finished second. Korfmacher was fourth with a PR of 20:35.2, and Kantoff was sixth in 20:57.9. 

Also scoring for Jones in the freshman/sophomore race were freshman Madeline Ogilvie, who was 17th with a PR of 21:54.2; freshman Quintana Weisgerber, who was 19th with a PR of 21:56.5; and freshman Amelie Lynde, who was 29th with a PR of 23:01.2. Sophomore Samantha Dombar (23:19.8) also set a PR in that race.

Luisa Gorman earned all-city honors in the 2-mile freshman race, placing second in 14:04.6 and leading Jones to third. Also scoring were Charlotte Mandujano, who was 28th in 16:25.7; Henna Im, who was 30th in 16:32.4; Naomi Glanton, who was 31st in 16:32.6; and Karina Paxton Filoteo, who was 38th in 16:50.7.

Junior Elizabeth Quansah earned all-city honors in the 2-mile open race, placing sixth in 13:25.4 as Jones took third. Also scoring were senior Rawan El-Bawab, who was 18th in 13:51.2; senior Yoselyn Waterhouse, who was 25th in 14:29.3; senior Allegra Giussani, who was 28th in 14:31.9; and junior Ally Flomenhoft, who was 30th in 14:32.9.
